My Basketball Journey

My basketball journey started in 3rd grade when I first picked up a ball and joined Little League basketball. While my love for the game grew early on, it wasn’t until 6th grade when I met my best friend, Dru, that I fully committed to the sport and began pushing myself to new heights. From that point, basketball became my driving force—shaping my life with a series of highs and lows that have been valuable to my growth both on and off the court.

After graduating from Gering High School in 2017, I took my talents to the collegiate level. I began my career at Black Hills State University, where I redshirted and had the opportunity to practice with an elite group of players and learn from top-tier coaching staff.

I then transferred to Rainy River Community College, where I had a breakout season. I earned First Team All-State MCAC and First Team All-Northern Division MCAC honors. I averaged 13.7 points per game, shooting 42.9% from three-point range (51-119), and finished ranked first in the nation in free throw percentage at 91.9% (79-86 FT).

After a successful year at RRCC, I continued my collegiate career at Doane University, where I averaged 7 points per game in my first season and led the team with 11 points in a game against the University of Nebraska.

Upon earning my degree in Math Education, I transitioned into coaching, bringing my basketball experience to the next generation. I am currently serving as the Boys Varsity Head Basketball Coach at Gering High School, where I continue to fuel my passion for the game by mentoring young athletes and helping them reach their full potential.

Here is a little bit of my journey!
